Making something beautiful and functional out of basic materials, gives me a sense of accomplishment like no other. That’s what crafting does for me.

Crafting is a skill. The more you practice the better you become at it. Problem is, I’m a bit of a perfectionist. A project has to look and turn out just so. And though it helps on quality, it’s also a source of frustration. I’m my own worst critic.

When my frustration is at its peak, and I’m about to procrastinate, I look for motivation.

Inspirational quotes helps keep me focused and motivated. It also prevents me from undoing my work and start over (which I’m prone to do whenever I spot a mistake), especially when I’m almost done.

It helps a lot to repeat over and over to myself that “Done is better than perfect”. I hope one or 2 of which inspires you too.

And the limit is my imagination.

Reminds me of one of the reasons I turned to crafting. Making things reduces stress and brings in positive energy.

It’s a more productive way to spend my time, than agonizing over things I have no control over.

Trying something new is not always welcome, especially if what you know how to do, you do really well.

It takes courage to experiment and deviate from what you know. You will probably end up disappointed and frustrated. But you might discover something new too. You’ll never know until you try.

When frustration bubbles up, because I can’t get things right, this quote helps remind me that it’s okay. I’ll get better with more practice.

I especially like this one. Finding a fault in a project when you’re almost done with it is very frustrating, especially when you cannot re-do it.
